Translational Capabilities: High-throughput technologies (Milestone 4.N)
To Be Initiated
Timeline Start - End
2018 - 2024Research Implementation Area
Translational Tools, Infrastructure, and CapabilitiesEnhance translational capabilities by providing support for high-cost capital equipment/core facilities and staff training to make high-throughput technologies such as molecular profiling, cryo-EM, advanced human brain imaging and other emerging technological capabilities available for wide use and by creating on-demand resources for pre-aged mouse models of late-onset Alzheimer’s disease (LOAD) being developed by the NIA-supported MODEL-AD (Model Organism Development & Evaluation for LOAD) Centers.
Success Criteria
- Launch a research resource initiative to support high-cost capital equipment.
- Enhance existing animal models resources/infrastructure to enable access to pre-aged mouse models of LOAD developed by the NIA-supported MODEL-AD Centers.
