IRP Core: NIA Clinical Research Core and Biorepository
The Clinical Research Core (CRC) was established in July 1998 to assist the NIA Intramural Research Program with ongoing research development. This Unit offers a wide range of clinical testing services as well as information and laboratory management expertise. CRC also supports new test development for research, particularly infectious disease, genetic disorders and degenerative diseases. The hours of operation for the CRC are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The lab is closed on weekends and federal holidays.
The CRC staff has numerous years of experience in medical laboratory investigation, with expertise in research, clinical chemistry, serology, hematology, and urinalysis. The staff at CRC assist members of the NIA Intramural Research Program in the continuation of research development.
