IRP Core: Instrumentation, Design & Fabrication Section

The Instrument Design and Fabrication Section supports the NIA and NIDA staff in planning, designing, repairing and fabricating of noncommercial mechanical instruments and systems in support of the scientific research of the IRP. This includes but not only, designing, fabricating, repairing and modifying biomedical instruments, apparatus and equipment such as animal mazes, adaptors for microscopes, animal retrains, microscope chambers, behavior chambers and more. Using the latest 3-D Modeling software in unison with our 3-D printing abilities we can lifecycle prototype development and ideas, we build special size tables for your lab equipment, if you can think of it we will try to build it. We make minor repairs on out of warranty lab instruments such as incubators, centrifuges, bath shaker, and heaters.
