CARD Single Cell Sequencing Core

Xylena Reed, PhD, Facility Head

The CARD Single Cell Sequencing Expert Group provides single cell transcriptomics and chromatin accessibility in human cells and tissues. Main collaborations are part of the Center for Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias (CARD) within the NIA and NINDS IRP, NIH. Facility objectives:

  1. Create single cell atlases of the human brain in genetically diverse samples and make these resources available to the broader scientific community;
  2. Collaborate with IRP groups to plan and complete single cell sequencing and analysis on projects in the Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s related dementias research space;
  3. Provide advice and recommendations on single cell sequencing methods for specific projects;
  4. Make new single cell technologies available to the CARD community as they become optimized and scalable

Core Research Areas

  • Single cell gene expression
  • Single cell chromatin accessibility T
  • argeted single cell gene expression
  • Single cell immune profiling
