Office of Clinical Research
The Office of Clinical Research (OCR) is responsible for monitoring and evaluating NIA’s extramural clinical research portfolio. The overarching goal is to engage broader segments of the public, including underrepresented populations, to participate in Alzheimer’s and related dementias clinical research.
OCR manages the Clinical Research Operations and Management System (CROMS). This system tracks, reports, and manages extramural clinical research enrollment data, study documents, activities, and portfolios in real-time across NIA clinical research projects.
Outreach Pro is an online research tool that enables clinical researchers to create custom recruitment communications such as websites, handouts, videos, and social media posts. Outreach Pro provides well-tested and culturally appropriate outreach materials that resonate with diverse populations and encourage them to participate in clinical trials.
