NIA supports awards to institutions including universities and research institutes to support the development and continuation of research training programs, career development programs, and research education programs. NEW: Expanding Research in AD/ADRD awards
NIA has two new R25 programs supporting research education program in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The postbaccalaureate award supports programs for recent graduates, and the summer research award supports programs for undergraduates, high schoolers, and K-12 STEM teachers. The next due date is May 24, 2024. Explore these two awards and view a pre-application webinar recording.

NIA accepts Institutional Training Grant applications on a single receipt date each year in May. See the NIH Office of Extramural Research Grants and Funding website for current submission dates.
