Mechanisms for Organizational Behavior Change to Address the Needs of People Living with AD/ADRD

On May 23 and 24, 2022, The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Board on Health Care Services and the National Institute on Aging held a meeting to discuss mechanisms and organizational behavior change initiatives to improve care and better support the needs of people living with Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias. The workshop featured invited presentations and panel discussions on possible health outcomes and care processes that are highly responsive to hospital organizational behavioral changes, such as healthcare-associated infections, in-facility safety, mentation management services, care transitions, and person-centered care.

The meeting materials are available on the NASEM website.
