Use of Critical Race Theory To Inform the Recruitment of Black/African American Alzheimer’s Disease Caregivers Into Community-Based Research
This article describes how critical race theory constructs can be used to inform recruitment strategies of Black caregivers for people living with dementia into community-based research. The authors provide a case example that draws upon the NIH-funded Adult Day Service Plus randomized trial and its engagement of Black caregivers into a community-based biomarker research arm of the main trial.
