A Road Map to Research Participation Resources

The Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (MADRC) offers several resources in their Road Map series on research participation and dementia diagnosis. The eight-page guides provide an overview on participating in Alzheimer’s disease clinical research, learning more about clinical trials at their center, and understanding a dementia diagnosis. This includes information on normal memory changes, getting a dementia diagnosis, the screening process for research participation, study visits, frequently asked questions, and resources for patients and caregivers. MADRC also offers a slide presentation that provides details about the MADRC, overview of the current research in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, why the center needs research participants, what the scientists are learning, and what it means to be a research participant.
