Recruitment Challenges and Strategies: Lessons Learned from an Early-Stage Dyadic Intervention (Innovative Practice)
This paper describes the barriers and challenges experienced by a research team in recruiting early-stage dementia caregiving dyads into research studies. Among other factors, the team found that recruitment and enrollment success depended on having well-trained recruitment staff who are knowledgeable about the study and have experience working with older adults, and more specifically, persons with dementia.
