This is a five-minute video from Alliance for Aging Research that is posted on the Penn Memory Center webpage explains what clinical trials are, talks about the role of research in diagnosing and treating illness, and covers the impact a person can make when volunteering for a research study. It also explains what happens when a person participates and why it’s important to have volunteers from every background, including healthy participants and those with genetic or inherited diseases.
