Memory Screening Events (Shiley-Marcos ADRC)
The Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer's Disease Research Center offers memory screening for outreach and recruitment. Screening is offered in multiple locations on a recurring basis, and the procedure is available in English and Spanish. Information about screening is available on the Center's website, and a bilingual flyer is also available. The flyer notes that:
- Memory screenings are like other routine health check-ups.
- Each memory screening takes approximately 20 minutes and while the result is not a diagnosis, it can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.
- No cost and no commitment to participate in research required.
- Individualized consultation with participants that includes information about normal aging and memory disorders as well as available resources in the community.
