Recruit & Retain Participants

Join the Fight Against Alzheimer’s Disease Brochure

The University of Pittsburgh Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Alzheimer’s Outreach Program uses this brochure to help recruit African Americans age 60 or older to participate in research as healthy volunteers. The Alzheimer’s Outreach Program provides education and counseling for participants and families, referrals to community resources, support groups for caregivers, and opportunities to participate in research studies. The mission of the program is to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease in African American and underserved communities. By participating in the research at the ADRC, healthy volunteers will be contributing to the understanding of how the normal aging process differs from the process of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
