Family Education Series
The UC Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) hosts an annual family education workshop on Alzheimer’s disease. The series is taught by dementia experts and licensed psychologists. It provides evidence-based information on diagnosis, treatment, care, and risk reduction strategies for community members affected by or at risk for Alzheimer’s disease and their families. The talks are two hours long, and refreshments are served, and resources are displayed at the venue. Flyers promoting the event are sent out in mailings, posted online, and shared at community outreach events.
