Facilitators, Challenges, and Messaging Strategies for Hispanic/Latino Populations Participating in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Clinical Research: A Literature Review
Researchers from NIA’s Division of Extramural Activities describe challenges, facilitators, and communications strategies to increase awareness and participation of Hispanics/Latinos in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias clinical research studies. The article provides approaches that address different backgrounds within the Hispanic/Latino community. It also discusses what the field can learn from the COVID-19 pandemic about how to improve engagement and interest in clinical research within this community.
