About ADORE

Welcome to the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement (ADORE) Resources. Developed by NIA, ADORE is a platform to facilitate sharing of resources on topics related to the engagement, recruitment, and retention of participants in clinical trials and studies on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. ADORE supports the goals and objectives outlined in the National Strategy for Recruitment and Participation in Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias Clinical Research.

Resources in ADORE represent some of the materials and activities developed by NIA-supported Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (ADRCs) and other grantees. The database also includes relevant resources from other organizations, as well as published research articles.

Materials in ADORE are designed primarily for research centers and study sites. However, other organizations conducting engagement, recruitment, and retention activities are also welcome to adopt resources for local use. The general public is not an intended audience for ADORE.

ADORE accepts submissions from ADRCs, NIH grantees, and reputable community health partners. These resources provide a variety of information that includes evidence-based recruitment information and some that may be evidence-informed.

The posting of resources to ADORE is not an endorsement from the NIA or the NIH. Those adopting the resources for their local use are expected to appropriately cite the resources and give full credit to the original developer, the contributor(s), and ADORE. Some materials may not be suitable for adoption in isolation of a comprehensive engagement, recruitment, and retention plan.
