In October, the Federal Interagency Forum on Aging-Related Statistics released Older Americans 2020: Key Indicators of Well-being. Using official statistics from federal agencies, including NIA, the report identifies and updates 40 indicators that depict the well-being of older Americans in the areas of population, economics, health status, health risks and behaviors, health care, and environment.
The 2020 report is the eighth in a series of reports published by the Forum. These reports provide a comprehensive picture of the older adult population in the United States, information and opportunities to improve their lives, and a touchpoint for monitoring changes over time.
