NIA’s Division of Behavioral and Social Research (DBSR) seeks a Level III Contracting Officer Representative (COR) who will work with DBSR subject matter experts and Project Officers to initiate and manage contract activities for the division. These include DBSR’s Science Management and Research Administration Support Services, other GSA Schedules procurements, Small Business Research contracts, and Research & Development contracts.
Role and responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Planning and developing SOWs and other acquisition documents, ensuring contract compliance, communicating with subject matter experts to ascertain continuing satisfaction with contractor performance, reviewing invoices, updating and managing tracking spreadsheets, liaising with the NIA procurement office and/or the NIH Central Office of Acquisitions, and other COR tasks.
- Working closely with BSR subject matter experts to identify needs in the areas of program development; program management; evaluation and analysis; scientific writing, editing and document production; website management; information and data management; and meeting planning, organization, and logistics.
Who should apply?
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Level III COR certification and experience, including small business and IDIQ contracts.
- Project management experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience mentoring junior staff.
- Background in the behavioral and social sciences preferred.
