Getting a Good Night's Sleep. An ongoing lack of sleep or poor-quality sleep increases your risk of health problems like cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, & obesity. They are also linked to memory problems, forgetfulness, & more falls or accidents. Aim for 7-9 hours each night. Tips to help: Go to bed/wake up at the same time each day. Find ways to relax before bed. Avoid screen time before bed. Don't eat large meals late. Exercise regularly, but too late. Avoid long naps.
