ResearchMatch is a secure online service, funded by NIH, to connect people of all ages interested in participating in clinical studies.
|Minimum Age||Maximum Age||Gender||Healthy Volunteers|
- Anyone who lives in the United States or Puerto Rico
- A parent, legal guardian, or caretaker can register someone under the age of 18; they can also register an adult that is not able to enter his or her own information
Many studies end early because there are not enough volunteers. At the same time, people are looking for research studies to join, but may have a hard time finding them. The ResearchMatch registry was designed to increase participation in health research.
To join the registry, volunteers answer an online survey and provide some basic information, such as age and contact information. Volunteers also have the option to provide health information that will help with the study matching process. All information provided is kept confidential and can be updated anytime through a password-protected online profile. After joining ResearchMatch, volunteers will receive emails about studies that reflect their interests.
