Liza Zeinert is a Clinical Trials Specialist in the Office of Behavioral and Social Clinical Trials (CT) located in the Division of Behavioral and Social Research (BSR). She utilizes principles of clinical trials design, development, and portfolio management to controlled clinical trials in aging populations. Prior to joining NIA, Liza served as the Project Officer of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) / VA Cooperative Studies Program Coordinating Center (VACSPCC) Interagency Agreement and over the course of two decades, managed the clinical operations for a variety of large-scale multi-site trials conducted in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Liza also counts many years as Project Manager for a government non-profit corporation (NPC) focused on facilitating research between the VA and its extramural partners. Until her departure, Liza was the appointed advisor/consultant to NIDA on the requirements and systems for data submission into the clinicaltrials.gov database and will be providing this same guidance at NIA. Liza received her BS in Family and Community Studies with a double-major in Psychology from Syracuse University and a MA from Bowie State University in Psychology.
