Sharna Tingle is a Health Specialist in the Population and Genetics Branch supporting the genetics portfolio. Prior to joining the Division of Neuroscience in the NIA, Ms. Tingle worked as a Program Coordinator in the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis in support of the Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPOREs). She also worked as a Program Analyst and Cancer Research Training Award Fellow in NCI’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences to support implementation of the NIH Genomic Data Sharing Policy.

Ms. Tingle received a Master’s in Public Health Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh where, as a National Heart Lung and Blood Institute Minority Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow, she researched the genetic variation in the 1q31 region and association with systemic lupus erythematosus.
