Joshua is from Cypress, California. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in biochemistry in 2016. While attending UCLA, he was involved in research elucidating the epigenetic outcomes of chronic cocaine self-administration. Upon joining the Rapp lab in July of 2016, he has been involved in numerous projects, including investigating hippocampal inhibitory interneuron activation in behaviorally characterized rats, and optimizing behavioral assays to study the effects of neurocognitive aging on object recognition memory.
