Dario DIEGUEZ

Biography

Dr. Dario Dieguez is a Scientific Review Officer in the Scientific Review Branch at the National Institute on Aging (NIA). He holds a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and pursued postdoctoral training in neuropharmacology at Boston University School of Medicine. His neuroscience research focused on neurophysiological models of learning and memory and neuropharmacological modulation of cognitive brain aging. He earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, through which he completed a public health internship at the Personalized Medicine Coalition in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining NIA, he worked as an Instructor of Psychology at Boston University and Science Writer in the Office of the NIH Director. He has also worked as a Research Program Manager at the Epilepsy Foundation, Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, and Lupus Foundation of America, Science Officer at the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs, Science Policy Analyst at the University of California at Berkeley School of Public Health, and IRB Meeting Manager at the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
