Dr. Greg Bissonette is a Scientific Review Officer in the Scientific Review Branch of the National Institute on Aging (NIA). He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. His Ph.D. thesis focused on evaluating, exploring, and integrating developmental neuroscience with adult cognition using transgenic mouse models, behavior, and neurophysiology. Before joining the NIA, Dr. Bissonette worked at the University of Maryland, College Park on topics such as: computational and neurophysiological aspects of neural circuits involved in decision making and value estimation and rule learning while exploring these cognitive mechanisms through the lens of mental illness and drug addiction models. Prior to joining the University of Maryland he was at the FDA Center for Tobacco Products where he ensured tobacco product applications complied with new regulations.
