Dr. Jill Beaver joined NIA as a health science policy analyst in the Office of Legislation, Policy, and International Activities (OLPIA) in 2020. She joined the NIH in 2017 as an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow in the Office of Strategic Coordination/The Common Fund in the NIH Office of the Director where she led science communications and program evaluation efforts for several Common Fund programs. She then joined the Policy, Planning, & Evaluation office at NIAID where her worked focused on evaluation, strategic planning, communications, and reporting.
Dr. Beaver earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Florida International University where she studied the role of DNA repair proteins in the instability of DNA repeat tracts. She earned a B.S. in biology and M.A. in teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
