Biography

Dr. Reema Banarjee is a Visiting Post-doctoral Fellow at the Translational Geroproteomics Unit (TGU) in NIA. She has received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, India in 2019 while working at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India under the supervision of Dr. Mahesh Kulkarni. She has mainly worked in the area of disease biology using mass spectrometry-based proteomics focusing on non-enzymatic post-translational modifications of proteins and their role in vascular dysfunction. She is currently working with Dr. Nathan Basisty at TGU to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for cellular senescence and aging using advanced proteomic techniques.
