Joe BALINTFY

Biography
Joe Balintfy is part of the Media Relations Branch at the National Institute on Aging, and has been a member of the Office of Communications and Public Liaison team since 2017.
A communications veteran, Joe’s background is in broadcast radio and journalism. He first joined NIH in 2006 as a press officer in the Office of the Director, where he worked directly with reporters and all 27 of NIH’s institutes and centers, and also produced daily 60-second radio spots, an award-winning podcast series, and videos as well. Since then he’s held communications posts at the NIH’s National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the National Eye Institute.
Joe is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in radio, television, and film, and a minor in English. Joe is also a former ski instructor and volleyball coach and is fluent in Hungarian.
