You can contact the NIA communications office directly by phone or email. The office staff can help arrange interviews, provide background information and materials, and otherwise assist reporters.
The NIA provides funding for clinical trials at grantee institutions. We can direct reporters to grantees where trials are being conducted. The decision to discuss a particular trial is up to the policies of individual investigators and institutions and the wishes of trial participants.
Although the NIA cannot directly arrange such interviews, we can often refer you to grantees or organizations who work directly with older people in communities.
Please contact the NIA communications office for photos of some senior staff and scientific images for selected studies. For downloadable medical images of the brain and Alzheimer’s disease pathology, go to the Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center section of the NIA website at www.nia.nih.gov/newsroom/resources/images-and-video.
