Screening for Mental Health (SMH) is a non-profit organization that offers in-person and online programs for use by organizations or individuals in screening for depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, alcohol problems, and suicide prevention. Its flagship program is National Depression Screening Day, started in 1991, and held on October 7 each year at various locations across the US.
