Biology of the Perimenopause: Impact on Health and Aging Workshop

This workshop, held May 26–27, 2004, in Bethesda, MD, reviewed the current state-of-the-science in the interaction of the changing hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian hormones across the menopausal transition with nonreproductive somatic and neuronal tissues resulting in pathophysiology associated with postmenopause.
